I fully support expensive annual licenses. It makes it more difficult for those who aren't serious to enter the business, decreases oversaturation of the clubs by traveling dancer, eliminates illegals and minors, and it's a tax deductible business expense.

The price is certainly trivial however:

what is the purpose of said tax?

is it to cover COSTS to the municipality? or is it an unjustified for profit action (read theft)?

where is the justificaion for any tax on this activity at all?

can municipalities just charge a tax on any activity they wish, for whatever reason they wish?

how does this serve the people?

what part of public servant dont they understand?

Yeah I know the places you mentioned are places to make good money. Still even in some poe dunk town $250 for stripper should be no big deal. In Seattle it's $300 and the next county over it $89.

Under the "Listen Now" button that is the link to the article. Where you see the SQUEEZE commment.

Pfft. That's nothing. Reno is $450, Atlanta is $350, Vegas just raised business licenses to $200.

What's your source for the quoted article?
